Summer Day Camps

2020 Summer Day Camps

Day Camp Rhode Island

Dear Summer Camp Families:

We are so EXCITED to be back!!!! We can’t wait to have another exciting summer with you. The Governor has announced that Summer Camps will be able to open starting at the end of June. So...Aim High’s Summer Day Camps will begin July 6th. With the Covid-19 Pandemic, Summer Camps will be a little different this year. There are new guidelines that have been put out that have shaped our decisions in how our Summer Camps will run this year.

  • Our Summer Camps will be geared for children ages 5 through 12 years of age
We will only be offering 5 days a week for this age group and there will be no extended day options. We will give preference to those campers who will be here multiple weeks as we strive to make sure we have stable groups of children from day to day and week to week.
  • Drop offs will also look different
Each group of 10 children will be given a specific 15 minute window for drop off time and another specific 15 minute window for pickups. What does this look like? If your child is assigned an 8:30-8:45 am drop off window, then their pick up time will be 2:30-2:45 pm (8:45-9:00 = 2:45-3:00pm; 9:00-9:15 = 3:00-3:15; etc.).
  • We are required to do daily health checks before allowing any camper or staff to enter the building.
If your child has a runny nose, flushed cheeks, fever over 100, coughing or if anyone they have been in contact with is required to quarantine then they will not be admitted into our facility.
So, if your child has any of these symptoms due to allergies or asthma, you will be required to have a medical note stating your child has tested negative to a covid-19 screening test and that symptoms are due to allergies or asthma.
  • Camp groups will still have the opportunities as they have had in the past.
They will have the opportunity to participate in gymnastics, arts & crafts, games, water time and open gym time. All areas will be disinfected after each group leaves an activity station.
Each group will have their own supplies of table games and outdoor equipment (balls, cones, jump ropes, hula hoops, etc.).
  • Group sizes will be cut in half.
Instead of 20 children to a group it will now be 10 children, so that means there will be fewer slots available.
We recommend enrolling as soon as possible.
Again, we will give preference to those children who are here multiple weeks.
  • Gymnastics Training Camps will still run.
These numbers have been cut in half and will have to follow the same guidelines as summer day camps. At this time there is only 1 spot left for Gymnastics Training Camp week 1, all others are full.
  • Junior GTC and Cosmic Kids Camps have unfortunately been cancelled for the Summer.
Trying to accommodate social distancing is just too hard for these groups. We hope to see these back next year.
