  • Summer Classes Enrolling Fall Class Registration is Open The registration for Aim High's Fall Classes is now open!

Hello Aim High Families,
We've been open since early June with practices, camps, and classes. Because we've all been adhering to the current restrictions so well, things are going GREAT and we've had NO COVID CASES reported in either staff or students. So, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for that.

It is imperative that we all to continue to be vigilant in order for us to be able to continue to stay open. It will be extremely difficult for us, as a business, to survive another shutdown.

To that end, we ask that you please read ALL of the information we are providing in this email and that you do everything in your power to adhere to our requests and guidelines.

Here's what we've learned since we've been back open that will help us continue to stay open:

1) Masking makes a difference--all adults are required to wear masks when entering the facility. To keep exposure to a minimum, we ask that only ONE PARENT of children in Simple Wonders and Sunshine’s classes come into the building. Parents of older children are asked to refrain from coming in unless absolutely necessary. Please continue to distance from all other people while here, as well.

2) For the safety of others, if your child is not feeling well, it is vital that you keep them out of their program. Depending on your child’s symptoms, a waiting period maybe required before returning. Please contact Aim High for questions.

3) Assigned drop off and pick up times only work if parents are on time. We understand that things happen and sometimes late arrival is unavoidable. However, late arrivals and pickups are very challenging for us as those students need to be screened and escorted to their group by additional staff who must insure that mixing of students does not occur. We have limited staff on hand for financial and safety reasons. Because of this, it is extremely important that you are on time. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late for a class or practice may not be allowed to enter the building as that interferes with other groups assigned times. This restriction does not apply to camp or ELC students—however, students in those programs who arrive late MUST COME to the FRONT DOOR to be screened, admitted, and escorted to their group.

4) Makeups and Pro-rates are not possible—in order to keep small, stable groups, we can not schedule makeup in other classes. In the past, we have offered makeups as a courtesy and have tried to be very accommodating regarding pro-rating for missed classes when we have been able to do so. Starting September, for financial reasons, we will be charging monthly tuition regardless of the number of classes attended. There will be no pro-rating for absences or missed classes. When restrictions allow us to return to scheduling makeup classes, we will happily do so.

5) Travel Restrictions apply to vacationing families! If you and/or your child are traveling to another state, check the RI Dept of Health list of restricted states. If visiting one of the listed states, A TWO WEEK QUARANTINE or negative COVID test is REQUIRED upon returning to RI (and especially to our gym). NO EXCEPTIONS!

6) Hand washing and sanitizing is key--Asymptomatic transmission of COVID is a concern. Make sure that your child is washing their hands as frequently as possible to avoid spreading germs. We have provided access to hand sanitizer and sinks throughout the building for that purpose. Wash or sanitize all of their clothing, bags, and gear at the end of each day.

7) Please send your child with a full water bottle each day because we currently do not have a water fountain

8) We need to know when and why a student is absent. If, FOR ANY REASON, your child is not attending their program, call to inform us. We will need to know if the absence is illness-related or not. If we don’t hear from you, we will have to call and ask. Please be pro-active and let us know.

9) We have to support each other! We are doing our best to offer everything we can for your child's happiness, comfort, and safety. In return, we ask that you adhere to our guidelines and protocols. WE DESPERATELY WANT TO STAY OPEN. The only way we can do that is if we keep the virus contained and don't have an outbreak here. We really appreciate your help with this.

Thank you for reading all of this, taking it seriously, and making any adjustments needed to adhere to our requests.
